Looks like Leach is going after all of them just about.

I'm still in the running with a prediction of 5-6 decommitments but may be low now. What did SMT have 10-11. Naw couldn't be that bad

Don't think we can sway those
Re: SMU LB decommit Pettway commits to WSU
Are you serious about us now going after a 2 star player that Texas State is recruiting?RGV Pony wrote:Guess tx st and ntsu must be plssed that we are about to come after all their 2 stars

Serious that we're back to pre-klemm days of two stars, a cpl three stars and the occasional high three or four that winds up in juco and eventually somewhere else because he doesn't qualifyRebel10 wrote:Are you serious about us now going after a 2 star player that Texas State is recruiting?RGV Pony wrote:Guess tx st and ntsu must be plssed that we are about to come after all their 2 stars

so it goes back to the question Nick posed about a hundred times recently.RGV Pony wrote:Guess tx st and ntsu must be plssed that we are about to come after all their 2 stars
Would you rather have JJ and the TX St 2-stars or have rolled the dice with AK as OC or even HC
RGV and Stallion, what say you?

Hope you're right and I'm wrong. What was it June said...he talked to all of the commits and they still sound solid. I guess "things change" to quote Pony Excess.

I think he had 8-10 within a week, pretty sure the ship has sailed on that prediction.Stallion wrote:I'm still in the running with a prediction of 5-6 decommitments but may be low now. What did SMT have 10-11. Naw couldn't be that bad

Re: SMU LB decommit Pettway commits to WSU
I'm not sure SMT said that. I thought he hoped to make Kleem in essence a Head Coach in waiting and groom him for the job. I don't think I can truthfully say I think Klemm is ready for head coaching job. I've never said we should even terminate Jones. I just think from Day 1 he selected the wrong staff for the wrong Job. I pretty well would had paid Klemm the going mid range salary for a BCS program-which these days is a bunch. I would have recommended trying to outbid UCLA and ASU-although its not my money. Then if he took the job we'd have known we tried our best-I would have held my fire if they tried that

Hard to disagree with that.
Junes here so need him to make a quality hire.
That said, once in awhile its hard not to wonder if as (I think) stallion once intimated that fran might have had a better Texas class/classes in here by the four year point.
We'll see how it goes. Just buckle up and hope for the best. Could be worse-we could be Houston with our special teams coach as the new captain of the ship. Or we could be Pitt.

We should be concerned about both. Or at least be concerned about replacing them with equal or better talent.CoxMustangFan wrote:I'm less concerned about the 4-5 de-commits as I am transfers being more than "a couple" as he indicated at the luncheon.RGV Pony wrote:Hope you're right and I'm wrong. but that's just perspective. My perspective was that we should have focused on Texas and branched out where we had contacts like California(Klemm) and Louisiana(Reinebold)
