Recruiting board?
Re: California Recruiting Experiment Preparing for Signing D
Stallion,
You just go out of your way to let everyone know you are right at all costs.
"I told you people"...."you little morons".... "you guys are so dumb"
Do you feel better now?

The disaster is not recruiting kids from California, the disaster is no preparing for life without Klemm. At the start of the season, UCLA, Arizona State, Washington State, and Arizona all had coaches on hot seats with WSU and UCLA having lame duck coaches. The job Klemm did at SMU recruiting could not be explained it was so good and the majority of his success came in Southern California. You knew he would be on the top of every list for a Pac-12 staff opening. The disaster is you could see the coming in august and nothing was done about it.

Agreed. If he had been recruiting all Texas and his commits were all Texas kids the same thing would have had a tendency to happen with his recruits.

So whats the alternative Stallion, don't recruit because its a waste of time? Play with those who walk on cause that way we won't loose recruits? Give up? Concentrate on swimming recruiting where we've always been very successful? I don't understand the point. I think everyone was elated with the recruits were getting. However, if you look back on the boards most thought we would have a hard time holding them. Players don't see SMU as a big play yet. So Stallion, do we quiet trying? I say there is only one answer PONY UP!

yeah I'll give you a pass since you are relatively new. I haven't been shy about outlining suggestions over the last 13 years or so. Let me just say the good news is that SMU has made a COMMITMENT and they have implemented the proper MODEL to compete with their natural and traditional rivals. That should get a few laughs from oldtimers

If there is more than one opening, might not be a bad hire as an assistant.

When, as head coach, you are not planning on being around next year...you don't worry about things like that.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Kind of like you don't worry about red shirts. Or at least one could make that case...
