Disgruntled unidentified Big East member No. 1: SMU? They’re bringing in SMU? There are high schools in our region that draw bigger crowds for basketball. We ought to gather all the other basketball schools in this league, grab Xavier, Dayton and maybe Butler or Saint Louis and form our own conference.

Those delusional, stupid b-ball schools need us, just as bad as we need them... These idiots belong in the same category as Andy Katz. These people will be in denial forever about college football being a lot bigger deal than college basketball. Go ahead, start your own league, but don't expect to be seeing any large sum of money... SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
