Yes because Phillips' recruits to him are somewhat like Klemm's recruits are to Klemm. Even thought they are Texas and connecting state's recruits.

So is Phillips our way back into the Texas recruiting market? It would be nice to start competing with teams like TCU, Baylor, and Tech for recruits.

You would think at least an in to the Houston market which produces a ton of talent. Who knows his connections with DFW. Can't be any worse than we have now.

We definitely need to tap this area more (Houston). Like I've said before....there have several good players at son's H.S. and several, last year, would tell my son they wanted to go to S MU and were waiting to hear from them. One of our receivers made verbal to TT, then changed to Tamu but w/their coach leaving, he has committed to ut. This from a newer school (has only 2 graduated classes). Frustrating b/c we have a couple at Tamu, 1 at lsu and some at tx state (or going there in the fall).

You mean Marcus Johnson wanted to come to SMU? If so we need to get word to our coaches so that thye can try to at least make a last minute effort to get him.

You've got the right HS, but, no, Marcus wasn't one who mentioned SMU. It was someone who graduated last spring, but can't remember who it was. I would love to watch Marcus in a mustang uniform though.
