I don't believe a word this kid's dad says. He was on rivals telling us all how committed he and his son were to smu, even with all new offers coming in. Over and over again to the point that we were all congratulating him on his parenting skills. Picture Cush's dad from Jerry Mcguire. Seriously. Word is stronger than oak my [deleted].
I think we have a Papa Newton on our hands here.

I have seen nothing that would indicate he is shopping his kid for money like Newton's dad. What are you basing that statement on? Seems like a pretty harsh accusation to make without some proof. If you do not mean he is shopping him for money then what did you mean by the comparison to newton?

The letter states they cannot call, or have a direct call answered at this time, but if they want to talk, they can go to uk and visit, THEN they can talk. Printz's dad must be shopping the kid around. If they REALLY wanted, they could have visited SMU to speak with June.
Merry Christmas.
Go Ponies!
Hmmm...hopefully she will hear from SMU, too!

I have no inside info, just speculation based on his comments and the circumstances

I believe he is from actually a well off family and when his Dad came to visit SMU, was contemplating moving his business to Dallas from Atlanta. He was impressed with the business environment and the SMU campus....he probably got turned off reading all the comments and uproar on these boards during the two weeks when ASU was involved and Klemm was leaving ...can you blame him?

Which comments and what specific aspect of the circumstances led you to think he is shopping his kid for money? Kids decommit all the time, so I assume you do not think he is shopping his kid for money just because the kid decommitted? Was there something else? I think it is very irresponsible to make that kind of accusation without backing it up.

actually I read the father's quotes on Pony Pride and he seemed to be as pissed off as the most pissed off at June Jones. He wasn't mad at alledgedly negative posters-his anger was directly at June Jones and his coaching staff. He wasn't the only Player's father either

My vacation from this site is now over. Printz's father did make statements that his son's commitment was like a marriage. Personally, he never said or did anything that suggests this was not his sincere belief. Using his marriage analogy, if your wife is constantly hiking up her skirt for every Tom, [deleted], and Harry that walks by you would be justified in leaving that relationship. Further, if she was having secreting meetings with another suitor in a hotel and had already drafted the divorce papers, you would be a fool to not have serious doubts about the future of the relationship. As much as I love SMU, I understand what these guys are going through. I do not believe there is anything that June could say to me at this point that would make me comfortable sending my son to play for him. You honestly cannot blame a kid for not sticking with his commitment when the coaches are not committed to the school.

Only issue with your statement about Coach Jones is that Kansas is on their third HC in three years and Coach Weis is on his third gig in three years. It's a business...everyone needs to get over it.
