Bowl and Recruiting

Does a late bowl, one of the last 3 and the only one on a Sat TV slot help recruiting? Or is it inconsequential?

And a game against a AQ team at that?

Should be interesting since the AQ team we are playing just hired their new coach who will not be coaching in the game.

I would think it would help. There's a theory in some businesses: "be the last one to meet (a client, etc.)" Under that theory, it sure would be nice to have SMU make the last impression on a recruit considering SMU and some other school that already played in its bowl.

i would say it certainly sounds better to be able to say we're playing Pitt than LaTech.

Being on TV like that will be good, just as the Hawaii Bowl was. So many people watched just to see some football. Beat pitt!
