IMO WVU playing in the big bevo next year is wishful thinking. I would imagine if they were scheduled to play big bevo teams in 2012 that the BE would immediately get an injunction to stop them. I doubt anything will happen until the lawsuits are resolved. Well, maybe a few more couch burnings but nothing significant.
Cincinnati is an old rust belt city and like any old rust belt city, its past is its hayday. U of C had a great basketball program from which few if any of its players graduated. Their football program was excellent, then their coach got hired by ND. But the new coach really has done a good job so far. So, don't write off UC. I think we'll be very competitive in the new Big East. Our main competition will be Boise and UH in my view. The winner of that division will coast in a conference championship.
If that's an official B12 graphic, that's [deleted]. Why draw attention to the fact that here are 10 teams in a "12" team conference by leaving two clear gaps in the ring. Space them differently or line them up in a row. That just looks like they can't count.
He adopted SMU whole-hog, money and time but grew disgusted with it/June and jettisoned us for TCU. Looking at both situations from a free agent standpoint, hard to blame him. I love love love SMU but TCU is the best bang for the buck right now, by far.
My Frog hate is always really high but I agree they are a value stock. Two BCS games, new stadijum, 6 or 7 top #20 finishes in the last 10 years, back in the Big12, and a nasty defense. Not going to lie, I actually like Fort Worth. We need to be more like the Frogs minus that terrible color.
GP is a great coach but he's reaching a little too much with his thought that he actually has the capacity to influence our conference movement, points we put on the board, and the direction of our program. His head is getting a little too big, he'll come back to earth after TCU is humbled in the B12.
