"It’s hard to overstate how impressive SMU has been on the recruiting trail since the ACC announced the Mustangs would be joining the league”

On paper, at least, that's a pretty impressive group!
Great idea keeping the list at the top of the page. Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!
Recruiting ClassLooks decent on paper, but WE NEED MORE OFFENSIVE LINEMAN. It's a good start to get a lot of D lineman, but we need to get bigger and tougher big men on offense.
Couple a lack of good, tough O linemen (which would at least make our running game adequate) with another year of a crappy passing game, and SMU will have another anemic offense. And, unlike some past years, our defense has not shown the ability to win games.
I'm pretty sure that Brad Lankford was an OLM in High School as well at least as a senior and I wouldn't be surprised if either or both of the high school defensive linemen recruits eventually end up on offense. Remember that these lists are prepared by writers not coaches.
With 12 guys already committed, has anyone really figured out how many scholarships we have to give? I might be counting wrong (considering my math grades years ago, that's a distinct possibility), but I only see 19 or so going out -- in which case, BUS's dream of 6 to 8 more isn't happening. Stallion might be right about some lineman/linemen potentially switching sides .... many linemen play both ways in HS.
Personally, I would bet we take: 1, maybe 2 more OLs. 1 more LB 1 RB 1 more QB 2 DBs and maybe another TE/DE/LB-size guy. Hopefully, there will be room left for a WR.
If this is accurate, we are indeed getting close to full
