I think that was Mestango... :lol:

I like Acker! He was a great get, as he was a two time Portland player of the year on both offense and defense I believe.

Correct as I just checked his SMU Bio:
"Became the first player to be named both the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year by the Portland Interscholastic League - and did so twice (2008 & 2009)... Also named first team All-State Class 6A at defensive back and second team at quarterback.."

I think he was also rated the 6th best player in Oregon his senior year by rivals. He's fundamentally sound - you can just see it in the little things ... technique, etc ... I think next year will be his break out year - I'd like to see him be a shutdown corner and get more INTs (that one against Navy was sick - just TOOK the ball away from the guy). I think our secondary will be pretty good next year with him and the Nebraska transfer but don't know about the safety position ...
