Anyway, I guess we are just trying to be competitive not win a national championship or anything like that. Louisville is in our division and they are playing a lot of young players this year and they should be pretty experienced when we play them. UL had four 4 star players in the 2011 class and three 4 star players in the 2010 class (granted even that is not a lot to get to upper tier talent status to win a national championship). Granted that is not a lot but they are building. AS others have stated regarding Boise is that they get transfers that we are not able to get because of their academic standards and curriculum. At least we agree that we need to shoot higher and land land higher in our recruiting. It should be interesting to see if our coaches can rise to the challenge.

I hope your 3rd sentence is not the case (and just sarcastic). ;-)

Think about how THIS class could turn out:

- 1 FOUR star (and if Moreland ever comes around, that could be 2).
- GG coming is a former 5 star?
- White transferring?
- Dieter is a very high 3 star (seeing his highlight reel, I have NO IDEA how he's not a 4 star).
- Jason Phillips coming here.

We COULD be seeing, as Churchill said, "Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."

Dieter is a high school all-american not a highly recruited athlete-big difference.

Good use of Chirchill.

Before Jones came we were getting 0, 1 and 2 star players. Now we're getting 2 and 3 star players with an occasional 4 thrown in. Much better than during the prior years. Now we're competitive with our opponents. We'll probably be very competitive in the New Big East. Louisville, Cincy are about the same talent as Southern Miss. Boise is well coached. Houston is going to be wild card with Sumlin leaving.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Yikes! The Big East is going to absolutely kick our [Garry Patterson]es if we can't get this offense chugging.

SMU 86 wrote:Well were are going to need some of those easy to identify 5 and 4 star players going into the Big East. We could get away with that diamond in the rough stuff in CUSA but we better up our level of recruiting to compete in the Big East let alone win it.

without a single 4 star player on our roster, we physically manhandled pitt at the line of scrimmage (especially on the defensive side of the ball) and pretty much dominated every aspect of the game.

Our recruiting is still on the upward trend overall even with the recent de commits...we are going to be fine in the big east.
