I agree that penn staters are easily offended. The few I know either deny the magnitude of the scandal or get pissy if you try to joke with them.

I disagree. I have a good friend who is a Penn Stater. Huge supporter, even had a relationship with Paterno.

He doesn't hide behind any sort of argument that this is anything less than a tragedy. He is as incensed at the whole thing as people with no vested interest in the situation.

Women especially were offended by the PSU lack of attention on following up on Sandusky. I think PSU is going to have a lot of work to do to convince mothers to send their sons to Penn State.
