Darius Johnson addresses his future

Post by PonyPride »

When junior SMU receiver Darius Johnson became the father of a baby girl in October, there was some speculation about whether the 2011 season might be his last at SMU. So PonyFans.com caught up with Johnson after practice Monday and addressed a number of issues, including his future.

"I'll definitely be back here next year - no question about it," Johnson said, "and you can write that."

He needs another good season to get on the draft boards.

It will be tougher for him right now to be away from his family, but

it will be the right choice for the long road.

We got the good receiver returning, just need someone who can consistantly get the ball to him.

Didn't realize there was speculation about him potentially leaving -- again.

Are you implying that Cole Beasley is not good?

Beasley is a senior.
