Houston Nutt credited with Boise's success?

Postby ponyte » Fri Dec 31, 2004 11:41 am

The Arkansas Democrat Gazette (the main news rag in the state) has an article today about Houston Nutt (the Razorback's Head coach) being responsible for Boise State's success. Only in Arkansas can a past head coach (Nutt was the head coach at BSU in '96) with a losing record be given credit for Boise's future successes.

One has to wonder how the logic of this state works? BSU is successful in spite of Houston Nutt, not due to Houston Nutt. Yet, this state can only accept success if someone related to Razorback football in somehow connected. Please, those of you outside the state of Arkansas, try to understand the pathological Razorback logic that those of us that could not care less about Arkansas football must endure. Oh man, how I miss football in the state of Texas!

You are so correct Ponyte. I stated in a previous post on another topic that Nutt had a successful stint at Boise. I was basing that on memory which is proven to be memory that has been provided by the Demgaz over the past several years. I did not remember until this morning reading that article that he only had 1 season there and a losing one at that. I was truly thinking that he had turned their program into a successful one prior to being snatched away by Arkansas. That is what you would believe if you only had access to our one and only news source.
