Compas Bowl Tailgating
So, i know the MC is having their $40 eggs and beer deal, but i saw this on the FAQ and was wondering if anyone else is planning on doing their own tailgate. I'm not getting to Legion until 11:00, and since the MC has taken heed to the "close it down 30 min. prior" crowd, i'm not spending $40 for cold eggs and warm beer. I'm thinking my $40 will go to 2 parking spaces - one for car, one for me to stand in with a case of cold stones.
The public lots will open at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7th. General parking is $10 (no advance sales parking available). Tailgating is allowed around your vehicle however fans taking up an adjacent space or setting up a tent will be charged an additional $10. Fans wishing to park prior to 8 a.m. on Saturday, January 7th please enter Lot M.

Also doing the MC tent deal. Will arrive very early. Would love to do a little less formal tailgating as well. And would like to enjoy the pregame bowl atmosphere put on by the Compass bowl.
On a side note, this will be my will be my 5th SMU bowl to witness the Ponies play. It will be my 3rd to see Pitt in person. Prior to this game, LSU, Arkyland and Pitt were the second most personally witnessed teams for me in bowls. SMU and Pitt are the two teams I have witnessed in bowls more than any other teams.
Go Stangs! Beat Pitt!

At least I won't have to put up with indifferent waitresses and the Chucky Cheese crowd! What are unsupervised four to eight year olds doing in a sport's bar?

Re: Compas Bowl Tailgating
Knowing my wife, no way we would make it to the MC tailgate in time to get our money's worth. Already rented a car for the weekend so might as well tailgate old-school with a styro cooler and some cold beers/bloody marys.
