This sucks. Getting Dieter was cool, but there are clearly some scouts who don't like him(exhibit A: he is the 220th ranked WR on ESPN)
Marks is much more of a "sure thing". I really hope Lewis and Palacio aren't as excited about WSU as he is.

Well Lewis seems pretty excited about SDSU and as reported by ESPN WSU and possibly Oregon. I think their great RB is turning pro and they are trying to get Lewis for immediate playing time. In a related development SDSU fans are saying they are getting a 5 star transfer RB recruit from USC-forgot his name-but he would have to sit out a year.

Oregon is beyond stacked at RB. I follow them closely and it would be extremely hard for Lewis to see the field at all, let alone next year. Barner, DeAnthony Thomas and Tra Carson all return next year. They also have the 7th ranked RB, Byron Marshall, committed for 2012 and a 5 star guy, Thomas Tyner coming in 2013. My brother goes to Oregon and is hearing LaMichael James is considering coming back as well, so Lewis would be foolish to go there.
The potential SDSU transfer from USC is Dillon Baxter. He was not on USC's team this year and I am not sure if he is even in school there right now. Great high school player, but he was pretty quiet at USC.
It will definitely be an interesting couple of weeks as the recruiting season winds down. Lewis could be a menace on offense for us in the slot. Hopefully he sees the value of a top notch education and sticks with his commitment to us.

What is with the dot dot dot in the article? Did he say "WSU is my leader...along with SMU"?Kind of weird to have an incomplete quote there.
For the record I think we've lost him, but found that curious nonetheless.

Marks - come on buddy - life is too short to waste your time with a certified lunatic in the middle of nowhere, when you can be the man in dallas in VERY short order - with a hottie on each arm - a direct path to a bcs bowl and a ticket to the NFL. It's not even close
Re: Washington St. Leads for Gabriel Marks
It did not help last night during the Orange Bowl when they keep talking about the receivers Leach put into the NFL while while Holgorsen was there.

What Texas Tech WRs are playing in the league besides Wes Welker, Danny Amendola and Michael Crabtreee?
Leach is a great coach and many receivers put up great numbers under him, but I would hardly call Texas Tech a wide receiver factory as far as NFL talent is concerned.

Better chance at playing in BCS game attending SMU is better than WSU. Dallas >> Pullman. Dallas more like LA than Pullman. Stats will probably be similar.

From what I know of Pullman and from what pictures I have seen of the WSU faciities, Leach must be able to sell ice to eskimos.
Well, upon further review they do have an IPF.

June Jones has put several WRs in the NFL over his career. Is SMU more of a WR factory? Not necessarily. However, I'm not sure Leach/WSU has any advantage on SMU in that regard right now.SMU 86 wrote:Is SMU more of a wide receiver factory or less?SMUfiji43 wrote:What Texas Tech WRs are playing in the league besides Wes Welker, Danny Amendola and Michael Crabtreee?

Marks is better off at SMU in my opinion, but that isn't my choice to make. I would just hate to see him spend 4 years in the armpit of the Pac-12

Instead of the "High Seas" it is the "High Plains".LHS81 wrote:Must be selling the recruits stories about pirate ships rolling off the plains in Southastern Washington.
