THURS AM....BIG BREAKFAST BUFFET THEN LOADING BUSSES FOR A 10:30AM PRACTICE AT B'HAM SOUTHERN...THURSDAY IS THE HEAVY WORK DAY BEFORE THE BOWL GAME - LAST OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THE PITT LOOKS AT FULL SPEED...NEED TO MAKE EVERY REP COUNT - THE PLAYERS HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB OF " GOING TO WORK WHEN THEY COME TO WORK"...PLENTY OF TIME FOR FUN LATER ..."YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME" THANKS HERM

Good to hear the players are preparing in a serious manner. I am looking forward to a victory Sat. Pitt hasn't seen what we can do healthy and intense.

I think it's important we get up on this team early. Some early quick strikes. They want to play ball control offense. Let's HELP our defense and force PITT to get out of their comfort zone. Excited to see blitzes from Sanders and JG (run blitzes, too). Rest up DLs and backup DLs! You're going to have to definitely man up to win this.

I think PITT will lose passion/interest if we get up on them early (21-7 by late 3rd Q for example). But I don't think the coaching situation will have that much of an impact per their last year's bowl results - if anything it galvanizes/motivates.

dont worry about attempting to go up early. The over under on deep balls withint the first ten play calls is 5, depending on how many 3rd and 1's we have that apparently require a 40 yard bomb.
