Ha. I never did like that guy. That guy offers limited insight and is a real DB.

Can't stand those two; May and Holtz back and forth, point/ counterpoint.
Feel like I've been watching them for 15 years.
Please clean house...

Well with that inadvertent whistle it looks like the refs are on our side.

Thank Jesus this game wasn't announced by Beth Mowens. These guys were All Stars compared to last years telecast. Last year's bowl game, the announcers probably cost us potential fans because they would associate SMU ball w/ that atrocious announcing crew and wouldn't be able to bear the emotional scarring of attending a game.

If my memory serves me correctly, Mark May was a first round draft pick of the Washington Redskins who showed up at his first training camp totally out of shape and was a first year bust. Not only was he out of shape, he was a disaster in the weight room and lacked the speed/quickness expected when he was drafted. Bottom line is that he never lived up to his hype and did not start for several years. I find it ironic that he is such an expert and has all the answers when he was a first round bust and nothing more that a very average lineman.

I can't speak for last year, but this was the worst announcing crew I have ever heard. Consistently misidentified players; missed penalties; made no reference to a team going for it on 4th down; etc. The games we paid to broadcast ourselves a few years ago were light years ahead of this crew.

Yablowme?

Too much Pitt slant

Darius Johnson was playing both sides

Our punter somehow got hurt when Pitt was punting.

I caught that about our punter getting hurt too, 89. I think he saw Castro (13) and just looked at Stone (31).

I think these guys are the No. 1 crew for the Big East games part of the ESPN network. They were talking about all things Big East toward the end of telecast.

Great way to show that conference what we're all about.

On the plus side, I think the "SMU Death penalty talk" has finally been put to bed! I don't know if I even heard it once! I feel like that was every other sentence during the Hawaii Bowl....
