Re: Chauncey Briggs commitsWho are the 6 upperclassmen with game experience? By my count, we will have one upper classmen with legit game experience (Brian Collins)....Even though I am very high on Ben Gottschalk and think he will be very goo, he has only played in garbage time, and a couple series last week vs UCF when Beachum went down...Free has never played anything more than garbage time...and Emshoff has one career emergency start (Navy last year)....I really wouldn't call that a lot of game experience outside of Collins.
Re: Chauncey Briggs commitsI was only going with the objective measure of "Game experience." I didn't feel qualified to asses the more subjective measure of "legit game experience."
I will admit though that I probably shouldn't have counted Favrau, since even if he's back on the Oline, I think all of his playing time was as a DT. The others were (with numbers prior to this year: Collins (24 games, 5 starts). Gottschalk 10 games, 0 starts). Free (23 games, 1 Start). Emshoff 12 games, 1 Start). Hughes (9 Games, 0 Starts). Behind them it's: Christian Miller Ashton Duhe and the 2012 RSF are Taylor Laski Dontae Livingston Taylor Reich Kris Weeks I really wish Joey Fontana were on that list. It's a shame we lost him. -CoS
Re: Chauncey Briggs commitsSpeaking of Ashton Duhe. Did anyone else notice him on the sideline. He is huge. He is huger than huge. My questions is whether that is good huge or a little too much huge. Anyone have the inside on that?
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Chauncey Briggs commitsmrydel- Yes, I also noticed him on the sideline. Didn't look like he has missed too many meals.
![]() I hope some of that weight is redistributed and turned into 'fighting hard muscle'. GO PONIES!!!
Re: Chauncey Briggs commitsWord is Duhe actually has lost a lot of weight, and is getting better. This is a guy who blocked on one of the top teams in Louisiana, and a couple of weeks ago he played all five OL positions in the Rookie Bowl, or whatever it's called. It will be interesting to watch him develop over the next couple of years.
Re: Chauncey Briggs commitsAin't nothin' wrong with picking up someone who will make the 'All Get-Off-The-Bus Team.'
Congrats to the kid, and congrats to the school and staff. Keep 'em comin!
Re: Chauncey Briggs commits
Having big linemen is not a problem.....Throw him with Reinbold for 2 months or so... We'll cut down his weight and get his first couple steps up.
Re: Chauncey Briggs commitsIt's a good rating IMO
Re: Chauncey Briggs commitsGiven his history, I never thought it would be in the 3s. Too raw.
Re: Chauncey Briggs commitslook at his video-he's not a high 3. He's a guy you are projecting after a lot of work

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Chauncey Briggs commitsyou can't coach size; get him in a weight program and eating right and let's see whether he contributes by year 3 or 4 in the program
Re: Chauncey Briggs commitsPut him in pads and let him practice against Margus every day for a couple of weeks.
