Raymond Ford drops UCLA - SMU still in the mix
I'm starting to really dislike UCLA. I hope they lose a few more. Would love for this kid to end up choosing SMU. Hopefully we're still an option, per the below:
"Multiple sources are reporting that high two-star cornerback Raymond Ford (Gardena, Calif./Serra) has decommitted from the Bruins. He originally committed back in June.
The 5-foot-8, 170-pound senior is now considering California, Colorado, Nebraska and Utah, according to Rivals.com. Other sources believe that SMU is still in the mix.
He impressed along the combine circuit this offseason posting a 4.41 40-yard dash, 4.08 20-yard shuttle and 39.1-inch vertical.
With the defection of Ford, UCLA's class sits at 23."

would certainly ease the pain of the guys we have lost
Re: Raymond Ford drops UCLA - SMU still in the mix
The new staff at UCLA has told him that they do see him getting on the field at UCLA.

I wonder who is recruiting him now at SMU.

They'll "lose" some more but it'll just be Neuheisel recruits Mora doesn't want.

I wonder if a California area high school coach will blast Mora for not honoring a scholarship like that jerk Mike Owens who did the same to SMU about 4 years ago.

Since he decommitted (or at least that is how it is being portrayed) it isn't portrayed as Mora yanking a scholarship but more that he is looking elsewhere. Not the same situation.Mitch McConnell wrote:I wonder if a California area high school coach will blast Mora for not honoring a scholarship like that jerk Mike Owens who did the same to SMU about 4 years ago.

How is a decommit which is voluntary the same as a scholarship being yanked which is involuntary kinda the same? Palacio decommitted from SMU.Mitch McConnell wrote:Yeah, it kinda isSMU 86 wrote:Since he decommitted (or at least that is how it is being portrayed) it isn't portrayed as Mora yanking a scholarship but more that he is looking elsewhere.
