I think we are okay when we get to conference. I think we split against Houston/Tulsa, and then split against Southern Miss and UCF.
7-5, but I think that is pretty optimistic. Wouldn't be surprised with 6-6 or 5-7. 7-5 would be a really good season in my opinion...
I totally respect your opinion. I like how you talk about splits as I agree with which splits you chose ... we seem to have a mental block against Houston (even last year when Keenum wasn't playing we got smoked). I think, of your list, we beat UCF and Tulsa though. Man, would I not love beating aTm and TCU AT HOME! (both are overrated and it's mental with our guys). Don't discount depth at RB and GG at QB ... will help an inexperienced OL.
We have a an experienced qb returning in kp, sure he had a bad game against A&M but he earned the starting job and had a pretty decent sophomore year considering he was hurt for the second half of it.

GO PONIES!!!
Playing the Aggies at Ford would be the best college day atmosphere for SMU in over 25 years. A true SRO crowd which works for our Aggie friends.
The Blvd would be rocking like never before, especially if we could steal a victory in Waco.
Hopefully some much discussed changes to the Blvd will be implemented before this critical game, making it more fan-friendly.
We should and will be gracious hosts. We can compare Prez libraries and show them plans for our Ford / Moody improvements. It would be great if we could announce a basketball series with them that week.
In short, we should show our Aggie friends that we would be ideal conference mates.

I'm optimistic than you guys. I think we lose to A&M though but we fry the toads. I agree that we probably split the Tulsa/UH games, but I think we beat UCF to close out the season. I'm more worried about USM.
Gilbert floats around the pocket really well and can take off running when he has to. I think Gilbert's ability to move will offset the inexperienced offensive line. I bet he has a couple hundred yards rushing because of the amount of pressure he'll face while learning the offense. Next year is going to be alot of fun.
