Briefly: Forward Patrick Simpson is expected to play tonight despite a sore left ankle. Simpson injured the ankle during an overtime loss to Rice on Dec. 30. Starting shooting guard Derrick Roberts has a sore right shoulder, injured in the Rice game, and backup forward Chris Reay has a hip pointer. Roberts and Reay should play.
