BTW- who from ucla is currently a star QB in the NFL these days? IIRC the last great (or semi-great) QB that got to the bigs was Aikman.

cox is right. as of now, he's still a commit for us. let him look around. i'm still not sure what set him off about about us. seemed a pretty strong commit up until the JJ to ASU thing.

Good point but who from Hawaii or SMU is currently a star QB in the NFL?

If Printz should be faulted for anything, it should be for committing really hard really early. He's young, has great offers, let him look around. If we think our program is going in the direction we think it is, then we may land him. Otherwise we'll keep looking and keep improving. I do agree that he'd have better overall prospects going to SMU than UCLA though.

I think you answered your own question. On another note, is it the player or the father that is the prima dona?
Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad

All I know is that I looked at his Rivals page for 2013 and it shows Printz not committed to anyone.
He's not the only QB out there for 2013.
Zac Allen at Temple, Chris Swoopes in Whiteright (big-time recruit), Chris Johnson at Bryan, Kenny Hill at SL Carroll.
For kids to commit more than a year before national signing day is pretty silly unless they are a legacy with a particular program.
If the coaching staff would TAKE THE TIME to evaluate the QBs in Texas instead of running all over the country, they could save themselves the aggravation.

I expect it's the parents driving the recruiting ship, and I can't really blame them. If I had a kid that talented, I'd want to check out every interested school, too. That said, I sure hope he ends up a Mustang!
