Thanks for the update Sheridan. I'm curious, in your opinion, what kept Dieter from getting more big school offers? Don't get me wrong, I'm SUPER excited he's coming to SMU, but I'm left wondering how an All American is deciding between SMU and Kansas.
I would like to make one more point on the recruiting of Dieter. Dieter and Auburn commit Zeke Pike teamed up at many of the National 7 on 7 camps, each of them excelling. A West Coast trip to USC was canceled. It is my belief that had this trip gone through, many offers from the West Coast would have followed. Both Dieter and Pike were on a great roll week after week.
7-7 at SMU is how we found Dieter.

I can't wait to see this guy play. To me, he sounds like a taller version of Jason Wolf. Everyone always said Wolf was too slow, and maybe his all-time SWC record for receptions was partially a product of the offense in which he played, but I don't remember Wolf being caught from behind much (if ever), either. If this guy resembles Wolf even a little bit in the way he runs routes or with his hands, I'll take that any day.
Welcome to the Hilltop, Gehrig!

If he runs a 4.4 now he's not slow for sure not perceived to be slow now. In fact, now I am expecting him to be a burner that can stretch the field.

Have we EVER had a high school All-America receiver?
Raymond Berry? Ron Morris? Anyone?
This is a great honor for Gehrig!
