Josh LeRibeus will be the first Mustang drafted. For his size, he is outrageously quick, and he has very good technique and underrated strength. Some team might want to bulk him back up to 325 or so.
Prediction: Third round

Next up will be Beachum. He arrived at SMU at what ... 240 pounds? He is a living instructional film on how to be dedicated to strength and nutrition, and now is a solid 310 or so. But if he and LeRibeus are close to each other in weight, there's a difference. He had to work like crazy for five years to get that big, whereas LeRibeus showed up that big (or bigger) and carries 310 naturally, maybe too naturally. Beach is a technician with terrific footwork and very accurate "punch" but lacks the long arms wanted in tackles and, I'm told, needs more years at this size before it becomes natural. His talent and smarts and work ethic will get him drafted and earn him a spot, however.
Prediction: Fifth round

Thompson will be the third Mustang drafted -- first time since the 1980s, right? He could leapfrog Beachum, if some team looks at his physique and starts drooling. But JasonB is right -- the inconsistency will hurt him. Plus, he's one of those "tweener" guys. Is he fast enough to stand up as an outside LB in a 3-4? Is he big enough (or could he add to his 6-5, 280-ish size) to play DE? I would think he's plenty big to be a 4-3 DE. Or does he flip over to TE?
Prediction: Fifth round

Crawford, Banjo and Beasley could get free agent tryouts. Whether they make it to training camp (or beyond) depends on which team gives them a shot.

3rd round - LeRibeus ends up at left guard
4-5th round - Beachum ends up as a backup left tackle/left guard prospect for a pass heavy team. Beach has great feet, would be a good backup to Jason Peters for the eagles.
3rd-5th round - Thompson winds up as a 4-3 end unless he ends up in a 3-4 system designed like Wade Phillips'
6+ to UDFA - Crawford

I agree that Thompson could play a 4-3 DE spot, probably better than a 3-4 DE or 3-4 OLB.

If Crawford ends up getting drafted, that will be a major accomplishment for him -- and for Coach Mason and Coach Odum. When he first arrived at SMU last year, I thought he might be a bust, but he has turned in to a solid all-around CB and PR. Hope he gets a shot.
