BBVA bowl ratings

Not that surprising to me! Bowl season is basically the week before Christmas and the week before new years. Past new years if you are not in a BCS bowl no one is paying attention aside from the participating schools.

I am with the crowd that thinks only the "big bowls" should be after new years. Our game and the Arkansas State games were in a weird place. I was however a little surprised that we were so far at the bottom of the ratings again.

This is true - a couple of my buddies that did not go to SMU told me that they turned it off early due to the one sided nature of the game. If it were a battle, I think the ratings would be somewhat higher.

Doesn't a television set count for ratings purposes if it's on the channel for 3+ minutes? One reason why I never want to leave a WNBA game on while surfing through the guide- I'd hate to have my household register for ratings purposes.

Unless you have a Nielsen box your set is meaningless as far as ratings go.
