My #1...
"SMU has had a lot of help from us over the last three or four years to improve their program," Patterson said. "I don’t appreciate being treated the way it is; that’s how we got reciprocated. We’re going to go on about our business, but they’re not going to get the same help anymore ... not about a ballgame, not about conferences, not about anybody. They’re getting no help from Gary Patterson, period

Darius Johnson making great acrobatic catches in our two best victories. Prime time player

Patterson made himself look foolish after the game. Sounded like a pouting kid that takes his ball and goes home because he is getting beat. Childish

Not exactly on the field, but getting Lee Corso to drop the F bomb on national TV is up there.
Re: Top 10 highlights of the 2011 season
I totally forgot about Corso's F-Bomb. I would rank it up there with Fattersons rage.

I'm not positive, but I think the McDermott-to-Wilkerson bomb was 71 yards, not 77.
Either way, it was a thing of beauty!
Another highlight, in my opinion, was watching the Pitt players offering their encouragement to Jared Williams after he got hurt. There are some very classy guys on that team who realized a situation that was bigger than the game. Hats off to them for that.

"What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"

Re: Top 10 highlights of the 2011 season
I think my favorite moment of the season was during the SMU/TCU game. TCU was making a strong comeback in the 2nd quarter. At half time, the announcers were talking like the game was over now because TCU was starting the 2nd half with the ball and great momentum. Kickoff to start the 2nd half, literally as the are talking about it, Z. Line runs down the field and knocks the ball out of the TCU return man's hands. Mustangs recover inside the 10, momentum swing right back the other way. Suck it announcers.
Then of course the win.. it was a great day.
