Seems to me that as a last ditch effort to avert bankruptcy, he tried to engineer an ASU/June deal to score a big pay-day, and when that blew up in his face, he filed.

Was ASU really offering that much more than JJ already makes at SMU?

Really doubt he would double down on that in an attempt to salvage himself

No idea. If it was 2.2 for 5 years does he get 10% over the five years ? Or what's the going rate for an agent

I agree with this but I am not sure it would be enough coin to make a significant dent in his debts.
