I was attacked on this board for suggesting that June or a member of his staff were recruiting for ASU while under the employ of SMU.

Joke is on all of you who attacked me...

If it was JJ then he was probably in violation of his contract and there would be no buyout. In fact the university should take legal action against him.

well, i think we can work it down by process of elimination as it appears only 3 people on the staff are involved in recruiting...

Then I guess that would eliminate JJ. Don't think he does recruiting, at least from what we have seen at SMU.

just because she retweets a lot of stuff about us doesn't mean a thing. that's what twitter is for!

i have yet to see anything to suggest that she is against us.

Go back through her timeline, if you can hold your nose for that long.

She was tweeting pictures of Ford Stadium for the SMU-Rice game to Big East reporters the day we got our invite to show how lousy our attendance/program was. Now, I don't expect her to suck up to SMU all the time, but it just seemed backhanded and petty, on what was supposed to be a really happy day for SMU fans. That's just one example off the top of my head. There's plenty more if you go back through and read it all. I get that she'd probably rather cover a team that's a little more high profile and exciting, but when you're a not-so-bright recent college grad with lax journalistic integrity, can you really afford to be picky?

But seriously, why is anyone subscribing to SMU Scout? Does anyone else write for it besides her worth reading? That's not a rhetorical question, I'm actually curious

here is a recent tweet:

#SMU DE Christian Holloway on June Jones/Arizona State: "He said he was going to take me to ASU with them...I thought that was pretty cool.”

This is what I'm talking about with June when I said that SMU has to go through some due diligence on whether he actually did this. If this is true, then the hot water around June is still plenty hot.

Plus, if Holloway is on campus, then he's pretty much fair game to talk to further.

I don't think this thing with June's status and coaching in 2012 is over.

This is not news. Anyone who thinks this was not happening when he was talking to ASU has their head buried in the sand.

Now we have indisputable evidence! This is huge. We had the smoke; now the fire has been confirmed.
