How about a linebacker coach that leaves town prior to the spring game?

By the way, how many of JR recruits actually make it into school? How many have ever started?

Do you think Palcic would be a good hire? Just asking.

Most likely JH will retire and one of the other coaches will slide over and take the lb's. New coach will take line. Most teams only have two to three recruiters with the other coaches backing up.

Hate to deflate the negativism, but the fact that the other coaches don't advertise their work doesn't mean they don't recruit (see Mason, Hill, Morrison, etc.)

No, no. The sky is falling! Everybody ought to take a breath. IF Palcic is coming, great. He is an excellent coach. Remember he has a long history with some quality college programs. (USC, wisconsin, ucla, ohio state.) He is is not a major recruiter, but will get out there as needed. Meanwhile, he has coached some studs. As for Reinebold leaving, somehow I would not bet on that. JJ loves having him around, and JR and Phillips share the same Management team. Don't see then getting one client in to then have one canned.

True because Coach Hill is bringing in a DE that only played JV prior to his offer and did not even make all district in his senior season when he did play on the varsity team. Reinebold tweeted to take full advantage of the social media as a recruiting tool. Some don't seem to recognize that.

Morrison recruits one QB a year and thats it. Rivals list him with no commits and two targets (neither of which we offered). Mason has 2 commits and one target(which we didn't offer). Bert Hill could only find 7 people to offer 2 of which were highly questionable, he got 3 commits one of which is highly questionable. So 3 coaches to bring in 5 players. If you want to call that recruiting then you throw the word around a little looser than I do.

Too many people around here happy with status quo. Satisfied with striving for mediocrity. It's boggles the mind.

A lot of recruiting is behind the scene. We have a guy in the office who still has hs coaching contacts. Notice the recruits we get out of the Garland, Rockwall and Mesquite districts. Hmm
