Since switching...

to some form of the princeton offense after the Hawaii tourney in '10, SMU's record is 40-34 overall. Not stellar but massive improvement under the new system.

Not a Doh fan and will support whichever direction we prefer, but playing slow has always made sense and it continues to make sense. I think those wanting Doh fired have a good argument, but make sure to weigh that argument appropriately. Spending time crucifying Doh over seasons 2 &3, and weighing them like the last several, makes no sense.

That said, have to keep progressing. We really blew some prime opportunities earlier this OOC

me too. The close losses really have a way of eating away at the big picture. If we just had 2 more wins this year or played worth a crap early, perspective would be so much easier to come by.

Just win the freaking Jackson State game. I know it was the first game after finals but you would have to think that was scheduled like that so it could be a "warmup'' after not working out or practicing.

The Fresno St game gnaws at me but you could see that because it was the third game into the season.

Maybe in all our instant gratification mentality these days, we can't see the forest through the trees...or whatever that cliche' is.

Gotta beat who you are supposed to beat. Certainly, Jackson ST, Fresno & ORU [deleted] me off. Get even two of those, and everyone is pseudo-happy, gets the progress, likes the kids etc.

Thats been one of the major issues in doh's tenure....we always drop 3 or 4 to junk teams early - and then we dont ever look very exciting to anyone even if we over achieve later in the season. The down low scheduling backfires on us.

i still say this team surprises on the positive side before yrs end ....which will make the junk losses to jackson state and ORU hurt even worse.
