Rivals has added this kid to our commitment list today. 5-11, 175 4.45 from Arlington Lamar, Rated 2 star 5.3. I expect a story to follow.

Rivals story said he had 80 tackles 5 ints, 2 QB sacks and was all-district. Separate research shows he ran on the Arlington Lamar 4*100 Relay with Fred Turner and Olympic Gold Medalist Jeremy Wariner on a team that finished 5th at the 2002 5A State Track Meet-so that would be as a HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN-traditionally Lamar has an outstanding track team so that's impressive.

Real fast and physical, despite the small size.

Here's the one guy committed to SMU that I've seen, and I can't give a high enough endorsement. First of all, he's fast -- REAL fast. Last year, he played some WR, but this year they put him on defense. He's not really big, but he's extremely fast, and most teams in the district don't throw much, so he played CB, FS and even LB -- and did very well. He changes direction and reacts to WRs' moves quickly, and he has good hands. And anyone who wonders about his willingness to hit is looking at his size instead of the way he plays. He can really crack guys.

So Todd Alexander has played OT at 200 (or so) pounds, and this guy planed LB? Sounds like a couple of seriously tough Ponies!

Welcome aboard, fellas!

I heard a very similar report on the guy. Sounds like a nice addition!

What's in the water at Arlington Lamar? They had that Olympic sprinter guy, Fred Turner, now this guy .... we should bottle some of that water for all our athletes!
