It should go without saying, but I sure hope that our athletic department knows that it should not sell any single game tickets to A&M without making the purchaser also buy a ticket to the Memphis game, and charge a premium for the package. 2 sell outs in one. Hooray!

Our athletic department should go cR@zY with the opportunities that the 2012 home schedule provides.
Market, market market. Sell, sell, sell. Package it. Promote it. We need to get out of the starting blocks. SMU can't drag it's feet on this one. Opportunity is knocking. In addition to my west side tickets, I'm going for 6-8 on the east side.

I wouldn't get overly hopeful about any marketing SMU does. Every once in awhile they surprise but mostly do not.

Besides, the Big East money doesn't kick in until 2013, right?

When Houston had Texas Tech at home two years ago, they made people buy season tickets in order to get tickets to the Tech game. Result: Lots of Houston-based Tech fans bought UH season tickets and many came back to see the other games on the schedule as well...and they pretty much had a sellout for every game.

Oklahoma State did something similar in the past with the OU game.
