Returning Starters
How many returning starters do we have? This shows 3/O and 7/D. But I think there are more on Offense if you count QB and Center which have started in the A&M game returning, right?

Offense
Clear Returning Starters
Zach Line
Darrius Johnson
Unknown
Blake McJunkin
Guys you could argue were starters and may/will start again
Kyle Padron
Keenan Holeman
Derrick Thompson
Ace Holleman
** Recievers are tricky because several of them started a game or two here and there.

Agreed. The only question mark I see is safety. (and perhaps DT depth). They will need to carry us in the first 2-3 games as our new OL / QB gels but hopefully not that long.

Re: Returning Starters
I think Jay Scott was a pretty highly regarded Safety in HS. Also Cody Worthen (Portland State Transfer) has some Safety experience. I would think Chris Parks or Mike Sparling would get a look as well. I'm sure there are other DBs with Safety on their resumes.
Re: Returning Starters
Our LB's will be stack but since we lost half the starting secondary and two thirds of the starting d line I don't see how we could be considered stacked on D. We have to let the new players get used to their starting positions first.

Yea- dumped on his team mates and the university- real stand up guy. Never knew too many good athletes that were afraid of competition- guess we found one here.

Re: Returning Starters
86- IMO there is a big difference. BLM was injured and KP came in and replaced him. KP did a good job and obviously had the 'pole position' in the QB race. KP was injured part of last year. JJMcD, who replaced KP is gone. It just appears that KP wanted JJ to guarantee him the starting position or he was going to leave. Afraid of two QB''s that have never taken a D-1 snap and a x-fer
that has no idea how to run JJ's offense. Real gutsy guy for competiton. Wonder what his ex-team mates think of him now that he shot them the finger and left.

Given his stellar play down the stretch I would say Stephon Sanders is a clear cut starter.
