Aggies About to Start Over with Kyle Field

Post by Stallion »

just like TCU they realized it just was too ugly and poorly designed. Could land in Reliant as early as 2013

This has been the plan since last summer - play most in Reliant and perhaps a few in San Antonio or Cowboys Stadium.

Give up on this season rather than endure 2 years of construction - this year's a wash bc Sr. laden starters are gone...

A&M is amazing. I can't think of another school that dedicates as many resources to athletics and obtains a lower return on investment. With the amount of money and resources A&M dedicates to football, you'd think they would have 5 national championships and and equal number of Heisman winners by now. Even setting results aside, you would think that the athletic department at A&M would be hugely profitable. Instead, I understand that the University had to bail it out to the tune of several million dollars a year or two ago.

I don't think the Aggies fully understand what awaits them in the SEC West. We'll see how much they like it a few years from now.

They are too busy worrying about tradition, whooping, finding a gay partner, and bashing Texas any chance they get

Is it true they plan to have 'khaki colored' grass? Instead of actually installing synthetic turf I suspect they will just plant grass and then not water it- so it will be nice and brown.

Now that is not fair! I'm tired of people coming on this board and making absurd statements without facts! Everyone knows the revenue streams are now flooding the Aggie Athletic department with cash, thanks to the women's basketball and men's golf teams winning national championships within the last couple of years. Why do you think the SEC wanted the Aggies?

They should use Kyle Field for the bonfire and midnite yells and build a new stadium elsewhere! Atmosphere is totally exaggerated and outdated but for some reason ags hold on to it.

That exaggerated atmosphere seems to spook SMU most every time we have ever played there. We don't have a strong record in College Station. Its exaggerated when you get blown out in the first half though.

I hiked up 35 or more stairs for that opening game abomination and decided I would NEVER go sit up there again! It was so high up I got a nose-bleed and my ears were popping! :P The players looked like ants. If I hadn't brought my binoculars, I would never have been able to follow the game.

I only hope we can treat the f-aggies to the same level of hospitality they gave us. How about $250 tickets to sit under the scoreboard on the grass. Sounds good for starters. :) Also top 5 rows of east side of Ford- $400 per ticket. Max # of tickets for them- 3k.

GO PONIES!!!

It will be interesting to see how they manage exhuming all of the dead aggies buried in the end zones.
