remember early commitment Elston Lane? Mom didn't want him going all the way to Texas. Well he just committed to Texas Southern. I wonder if he has his grades but I believe he was strongly recruited by Vandy, Virginia, Northwestern and Wake too so who knows. That's a pretty big drop

I tried looking up some info on this but outside of his Rivals page I couldn't find anything else linking him to Texas Southern. Makes no sense that a guy with offers from several legit academic schools whose mother didn't want him to go to school in Texas would commit to play at a Houston high school located in the ghetto.
