2,237 yesterday was in fact the largest crowd at Moody so far this season

surely we have hit bottom when even the 1500 is losing interest

have to find a way to beat ECU because we then have 6 of our last 9 at Moody. Need to get on a roll to have any hope of even finishing .500

Unfortunately, it's not gonna happen. Maybe we can buy our way into the CIT with 10 or 11 wins. Pony Up!

Mitch McConnell wrote:It IS a coaching and player issue. The players do not match this system. It strangles their ability to run the floor, create and crash. This system counters that.

I said that Doherty deserved to sink or swim with the 2011-12 season with the talent. It's taking on water.

The arrogant Ivy League Idiot still would like to trump up a National Coach of Year honor that occurred a long time ago -- those awards are nice but even coaches of the year get fired too.

It sure looks like that. Manuel is so instinctive about getting to the rim, and Jalen just thrives every break chance he gets. Uche and Blaise can get out and run as well. I'm just not sure how this is a eat the shot clock team

I guess it keeps us in games, and with the young guys keeps us from getting blown out. I like the offense, but with only 1 real good shooter, does that account for why we go into long offensive slumps. Is the difference from the princeton offense from last year to this Papa?

When Jones gets into the open floor he really looks good.

I thought the crowd was bigger than usual and 2,200+ is not bad given the way results are going. It was quite an entertaining game and Tulsa shot lights out, certainly in the first half (57% and 70% from 3-pt land). Jalen is getting better and better, and with a little maturity he will hit the free throws he was so great at earning. I thought Leslee had quite a nice game too, and Manuel is really showing his athleticism.

I would like to see more out of Shawn, he seems a little timid to me around the rim. More aggressive play around the basket will lead to more free throws, and while I know it was a bit ego-sapping to see Tulsa block so many shots that is a very tall team. The boys need to keep taking it to the hoop. Good things will happen.

Coach Doh apologized for the win at the reception afterwards, which I thought was a classy thing to do, but he has the look of a hunted man in my opinion.

It really doesn't matter what offense you run if you can't hold onto the ball. I am not sure if it was Tulsa's athleticism or our poor ball control. But turnovers off the dribble, turnovers from sloppy passes, and the usual set of turnovers trying to make the difficult pass were very evident. How is RN? I saw he tweaked his hamstring. A loss of him would pretty much fry the rest of the season. Also, they were cleaning the boards on offensive rebounds against us, how is that? Blocking out is one of the few things that can be taught: ball goes up, you look for a body in another jersey and block him out, then look for the ball. If you block out well, you don't even need to jump half of the time.

couldn't help but notice the number of baseline drives we had only to have shots blocked; looked like there were several opportunities for our guys to use the net/rim to their advantage and to "screen" those defenders by using reverse layups. Practice issue?
