Yet you are the same guy saying that the Princeton was great and touting these young studs for the last 6 months - What gives? You are contradicting yourself quite a bit. Losh was supposed to be good, Vilde was supposed to be good, Manuel is a stud, Smith is going to be great, Williams is a great UT transfer...yada --- not seeing it.

BS, reading comprehension. I've never said 'Williams is a great UT transfer.' I'm on record as saying he's been overrated since high school. Was I glad we got him, sure. Did I think he was a difference-maker, no. Smith is 9 months off ACL surgery, cut him some slack. Manuel is a stud that UNLV/Oklahoma wanted in the worst possible way. Straight up, he should transfer if Doh returns.

Vilde hasn't been even given a chance, so who knows w/him. What I will say is that IF he wasn't placed by SMU at Lee, he'd be in the Big East right now. I know that for a fact. I also know that McDermott only wanted Vilde & Smith off the SMU roster, and tried to get Lutz to bring them. I spoke w/Lutz just this week, and he'd take Vilde over Groselle, who he took at Creighton. You can't fake the offers & interest, Giddyup.

I like the princeton when its run properly and think a controlled tempo approach makes sense for SMU. What doesn't make sense is running it the way we do. What doesn't make sense is handing the reigns to Frog. What doesn't make sense is relying on Nyakundi the way we do. What doesn't make sense is how overrated 'locals' made Cotton out to be.

will confess I gave up early on this one tonight and watched Modern family. From the stats, it looks like Jalen at least played well. Hope he gets some help...and it arrives soon!

So how are things different besides running Papa and Mangrum out there? I don't understand. Same coaches, there has been plenty of games to get this thing together. A different system and these guys can suddenly shoot and drive to the hoop?

Good grief, at least Hanc0ck could score when things got terrible.

If this man coaches at SMU next season we will know just how bad the financial situation is within the athletic department.
Back off Warchild seriously.

They can't reach this group of athletes it seems, just very different execution. The pieces don't seem to fit the system. Kids are playing scared.

A different system wouldn't have these guys thinking so much, which helps shooting and playing instinctively. Our guys are a mess mentally. Beyond that, people(myself included) completely overrate locals. Cotton & Williams are super average performers, and Cannen's rep as soft, is well earned

I just want a clearer picture and perspective b/c it's not all adding up. Cotton, Losh, Cannen, Williams,Vilde, Clinks - just very average players at best. I could see JFrog being awesome in a run 'n gun pick up game in the Dedman. So that leaves Jalen and Manuel and maybe Smith as our future?

I agree these guys look VERY uncomfortable out there; passing up good looks because they come too early in the possession, pulling up on break opportunities when we appear to have numbers, etc...

it's just really ugly to watch

You are treating some of these kids like they're ancient. Cannen & Vilde can be good, they are only frosh. Vilde needed minutes & Cannen needs to toughen up. Both are skilled, but neither is a grinder. Losh & Clink are seniors, so they're run is over. Williams & Cotton are vastly overrated, we know that now. Don't take DISD kids just to make nice.

Jalen is good, as is Manuel & Smith. NIck Russell is a legit kid as well. Next year, start Manuel/Russell in the back court and don't look back. Frog is a joke

sure, but I and most of us here watch enough basketball to know if it's a stud or not. (even with youth factor) - hell Pat Simpson was better than most of these guys.

and I watched Pat Simpson a ton in AAU, and he wasn't better than Cannen, Vilde or Smith. Again, I get your point about the look test, but nobody looks good in this system right now. That doesn't mean some of the individual pieces can't play. They are shackled, especially a kid like Manuel.

Fair enough, I really hope they can all grow into something but I am so tired of below average talent.

I haven't missed a home game for four years. I see kids that have so much fear of doing the wrong thing each and every game. They are jerked out of the game immediately even for a relatively minor mistake. It's almost borders on being comical. This restricts their ability to play the game, make plays and the sheer joy of playing the game they love. Although I feel sorry for the team in what is a disapointing season, the upside is this time next year, they will be playing for a coach that is encouraging rather than strictly punitive. Game over.

Everything about this season has been so messed up, my wife just told me I needed to step back. She's probably right, cause this product has me angry all the time. If anyone had told me Vilde would never play, I would have laughed. If anyone had told me Frog would play 30+ again, I would have laughed. If anyone told me Jalen Jones was going to be a starter, and been the lone bright spot, I would have called bs. I knew Williams was overrated, but bought in on Cotton. If people told me we'd be solely reliant on Nyuk, I would have said we're more balanced.

What's funny is that we got tanked by lightly regarded recruits tonight. I saw Darius Morrow eat the bench for the Ga Stars a few years back etc. None of it makes sense
