Jones has already said that it will be a drop off year so he may take this year and experiment with players and try different things since he has set every up to believe it is a drop off year. So since we are heading it into the BE we might use this as a transition year ie lame duck year.

If that were the case and I were a highly valued new recruit, I wouldn't want to be here.

I'm so glad some people on here aren't allowed to talk to recruits.

Is it a requirement that SMU faithfuls live in the past and never forgive and get over it. I only ask that question because it seems like you guys just keep beating a topic that should be dead by now. I know of a few recruits and their family that read these boards and they comment about how y'all never let the past rest. How can we move forward when it seems like the faithfuls are constantly living in the past? Believe it our not these boards do play a part in recruiting. If we would have seen all of this negativity during my sons recruitment it very well could have changed they outcome. That was one of his biggest pros the support he saw in person and on the these boards.

The 2013 recruits won't be playing in the lame duck year so it won't effect recruiting because they are being recruited to play in the BE. Jones can experiment with players at several positions to get ready for the BE with people not expecting him to win. I guess I will have to start using the term transition year to make everyone feel better.

Winning CUSA would be a great way to transition to the BE.
