Mustang Insider has just confirmed that we will play Baylor on the 3rd of September!

Also upcoming dates..
March 5th - 2005 SMU Football Spring Practice Begins! -
April 8th - SMU Football Lettermen's Golf Tournament
April 9th - Annual Red and Blue Scrimmage

Baylor and TCU both at home to start the season. Gotta make a statement in at least one of those games. The home schedule is pretty attractive next year, I might have to beef up my season ticket order.

Does anyone know what to expect of TCU in 2005? I think I know how Baylor looks, but I've heard nothing about TCU.

I don't think the Frogs will be as good next year as they were this year. However, I made a rather painful drive home from Fort Worth this year, and 44 points is a large margin to make up. So while I think we'll be better, and while I think TCU will slip a little, that's a far cry from predicting a victory for my beloved Ponies. I think if we play extremely well, it's possible. But we will need to play lights-out, and frankly we will need TCU to be less than perfect, to say the least. I think the talent difference is shrinking, perhaps rapidly, but we're clearly still the underdogs. (Which is going to make that win even sweeter! )
