WVU Settlement?

$20MM...seems cheap given that Pitt and Syracuse are virtually certain to follow. Wonder if we could be the team tapped to leave early?

I have to think Boise would be target #1 since they are football-only, but I guess anything is possible at this point.

Navy-Out till 2015
Boise-has said they can't
Memphis-just said they're in for 2013
SMU-lots of $$$, so its possible
UH-possible
UCF-possible, but their athletic dept is in deep crap with the violations
SDSU-possible
Some people simply forget just how bad it was...

if anyone from cusa goes early, i think it would have to be a charter member. I bbeleive their exit fee is lower if they are a founding member. So memphis and UH are possibilities.

$11 mil from West Virginia *plus* $9 mil from the Big 12

This apparently doesn't count the $5 mil that West Virginia already paid the Big East.

Plus West Virginia has to find a school to join the Big East in 2012, with West Virginia expected to pay at least some of the penalty for leaving early.

UH hasn't released their schedule yet, so that is what I would put my money on...

IMO the couch burners got off way too easy. The final number should have been closer to 50 mil.
After all it's just a few more loads of 'shine' to sell.

GO PONIES!!!
