Re: Austin Statesman's Top 55 State Prospects for 2013...Might want to email that to someone on the coaching staff. SMU is not on there very much except for a few times.

Re: Austin Statesman's Top 55 State Prospects for 2013...It would be nice if we had some sort of draft system so opposing coaches can't say to these guys: Why do want to consider a school of rich kids who drive expensive cars, party, don't go to the games; a school that is not supported by the people of dallas and play in a lower class league. Don't think for a moment that is not their tactic. It is a big mountain for our coaches to overcome. Not being pestimistic, just realalistic! Bless those 2 & 3 stars and welcome to SMU.

Because that would be so fair to the kids, forcing them to go to a school that they might have not interest in. Give me a break.
Re: Austin Statesman's Top 55 State Prospects for 2013...I wouldn't expect our presence in the state Top 55.
Maybe area Top 55's, like Metroplex, Centex, etc...
Re: Austin Statesman's Top 55 State Prospects for 2013...Hey Grant: That was sarcasim.
Re: Austin Statesman's Top 55 State Prospects for 2013...Grant is new to the board, we'll cut him some slack.

Yeah kids always know what's best for themselves. That's why they wind up in places like Lubbock. Let's restrict where a kid can go based on intelligence indicators like an SAT/GPA index. Don't let them pick Texas Tech or Oklahoma State if they have a modicum of intelligence. Don't let them go to boring cities like Ruston or Waco if they live in a city of over 1 million people. Don't let them go to West Virginia if their family income is $50,000 or higher. Don't let them go to TCU if they are from Dallas. Etc. etc. etc.
