Re: SMU owns the Metroplex
What a freakin troll. TCU had close calls against SMU in 2010 and 2009. All week GP went out of his way to remind his team of what happened in 2005. "It's our Super Bowl. It's the referees. We looked past it. We were still celebrating our last win." Basically anything to belittle our effort. [deleted]. It's becoming a rivalry again, better get used to it.
Here's TCU not caring about the iron skillet in 2009:

I love when TCU fans come over here and say they lost last year because they "looked past it". Please. Was it just a hangover from the week before against the power house of Portland State? Or perhaps TCU was more focused on beating San Diego St before SMU? New Mexico? Admit it Froggies, SMU came in there and dropped 40 pts on that sorry D and completely outplayed TCU for 3.75 quarters.
Are they going to look past SMU next year too? I sure hope so, because we about to win the skillet 2 times in a row
Yes we did, it showed in the game. You all where better then you've ever been in the past but the Iron Skillet loses its worth when you all put up a win every 6 years. You know we're going to knock your head off for the next 6 years. Its a good for the blackboard. Patterson won't forget

Perhaps the Mods could put in a spell check function for the TCU fans that come on here to comment...

FIFY, you're reaching when the only comeback you have is grammatical errors. I don’t blame you though, if TCU sucked as bad as SMU I’d look for small battles to fight about. Seriously though, how do you deal with losing so many times?

It wasn't a comeback, it was just a funny comment.
To answer your question, however, SMU is where I played football, so I handle losing so much with my head held high. Hell, I visitied TCU as well. Decent campus, nice students , good facilities. Coach Fran was a good guy as far as the 10 minutes I spent with him. The year prior, TCU had gone 1-10 I believe so I thought SMU would have a better chance at winning.
And as far as small battles to fight about, I prefer to do them in a parking lot with a 2x4. I get tired of people arguing on message boards, 90% of stuff that gets said wouldn't be said if the person were there with you... think about it. Keyboard tough guys.

Whats funny is I played football at TCU and I will repeat word for word everything I said on your site to your face. A 2x4 ain't gonna stop me from knocking your block off. You're little fans starting with the trash talking

so you seriously think Rice is a better team than SMU? seriously?
look, you controlled your own fate, slugger, and you lost to us. get over it.
