Wow interesting "fan" board. You guys may be the most whiny fans in the country. Delusional for sure. Lets see, Jones got there in 2008? He's done pretty well for a horrible team like yours.

Since 1960 you guys have won over 6 games only 8 times. Jones has done it 3 times. Wow 11 times in 40+ years.

In that same time frame, you've won over 6 games consecutively only 5 times. From 1980-1984(when you cheated). Jones has done it 3 years in a row. From 1960-1980 it was never done.

SMU's all time record in bowl games before Jones: 4-6-1. Jones is 2-1

Ron Meyer coached from 1976-1981. His record in his first 4 years: 16-27. Jones is 24-28

Stop crying. He's the best you got and can get. Send him our way. We'll be glad to take him.

Minus of course those 22 years when we, well, didn't even try to field a competitive program.

80% of everyone on here is talking out of his [deleted] and rationalizing our Jr. day if you are a Jones sunshiner and trashing if not.

None of you save 2 or 3 could have a discussion of any kind on Jr. day timing before reading this thread.

I suppose we are supposed to believe that you are a UT fan...UT alum perhaps, yet you are able to jump on here with such a detailed knowledge base of SMU football. New name for Jonesdoe?...or just a strange coincidence. And you want June? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

That's right pk, Texas alum. I found this information in 5 minutes on this thing called the internet. Maybe they taught you something about it at SMU. Oh, I forgot, mummy and daddy does everything for y'all.

Another thing. In 1963, SMU went to a Bowl game with a 4-6 record. Storied program, for sure.

My friend may be playing for y'all in the fall. It's comical that y'all think you're too good for the coach. Your program was never all that good unless you paid your players.

Some people might not like JJ but I wouldn't say we all think we are better than him. He's done a great job. He should have done better about the ASU deal but I can't say I care that much. As long as he is here I'm happy. So who's your friend whose coming to play?

And you might want to tone down the aggression. Not all SMU alumni are popped collared numpties any more than UT grads are obnoxious t**ts.

If the moderators wont bother to clear them out I guess we'll all have to go elsewhere.

We stopped paying players in 1987, what year did the cows stop paying players?

He's right. I think we gave Doak one more horse than UT was offering and that is the only reason he didn't come over with Bobby Layne.

I hope your friend can lead us to two more bowls and a top 25 or better ranking.
