PK, not wanting to beat this thing to death (if we haven't already), no names works fine for the marquee players for your team's fans. But what about the non-skill position players, and what about new fans to SMU (should we ever get any), and what about the opposing team's fans should they be part of a developing new rivalry? It would be good if they knew who our players are, and they are not going to look them up in a program.

By the way, Eckert was in the Spirit Shop with his mom and several other players. They all echoed they would like to have the names back. You can bet Eckert's family would like to see it for obvious reasons.

I like you would rather have 11-0 rather than names, but there is no reason a player cannot have pride enough in his team and himself to win, even though his name is on his jersey. The vast majority of top ranked teams are proof of it.

I just heard there will be a new uni, not much change in color, etc. but they are supposed to be patterned after the Atlanta Falcon uniforms.

is all this is to simply appease a bunch of players who are the 'me- generation' who have no knowledge or care of our school history & traditions & to merely pacify the in-&-out fads of today?!

what happened to the 'team' concept' & traditions?!

are our coaches trying to play to the players (which is always a disaster) or the players to the coaches?

the further this team goes with this goofy uni change annually the farther i & i'm sure others are able to identify with our alma mater & the traditions of the school!!!

If someone can tell me how to post a picture.. I've just completed a rendition of the Atlanta Falcon Uniform changed to SMU.. with our colors... etc. This is based on what I've read from the board about our uniform changing to look a little like the Falcons.

Can someone tell me how to do it?
