I feel sorry for the parents whose children attend school with Doh's children. Apparently they are being bullied because he is a crappy basketball coach. I mean it is one thing to pick on this kids. He's their dad so they deserve the abuse, but to pick on the kids friends or even worse, the kids friends parents is just uncalled for.

I certainly took it as that. "evaluating the situation" means there is a "situation" and that Doh's opinion on the matter is not sufficient.
