Re: EWU fan here
Oh, Lord, 2athagloomy is back...
Look, KP is so far ahead of where BLM was when he left that it's not even close. Does that mean he will win a national championship in his first year? No (that depends on the level of competition as much as anything). But the EWU fans will watch his decision making next year and realize that it's better than BLM's was.
For verification of what I said, look no further than KP's and BLM's statlines while at SMU.

Smart move, I expect him to end up getting drafted.

I don't think KP will stay healthy enough to make a difference.
Why do you say that, just because of the freak back/lifting injury?

Do a search for 2thagloomy's previous posts. He is very pro-BLM and because KP took BLM's spot, very anti-KP. Pay him no heed.

As an avid SMU fan I was excited about Bo Levi's big success at EWU. EWU fans are going to be so happy with Kyle Padron. He's a great talent and has an incredible family as well. I will be a big fan of "SMU North" (Eastern Washington)!!! Here's hoping you win two more National Championships with Kyle! You will really like him! Enjoy the next two seasons.

I'll keep that in mind, but is there a history of injuries with KP other than tweaking his back lifting and the ankle injury? The reason I'm concerned is because we've had a pretty outstanding run of no starting QB injuries, certainly nothing major. One of our fans brought this up and said we're due...

How and when did he hurt the ankle, by the way?

FIFY.

Thanks, I'm definitely excited. We had a setback last year (even though BLM won the Walter Payton), mostly due to a rash of injuries to the OL and our best players on D. Because of that though, we'll have a lot of depth this year as long as we can avoid more injuries.
Because of the injuries, 46 different players started in the 2011 season - 24 on offense and 22 on defense - with only five players starting all 11 games. A total of 21 players made starting debuts during the season, and the Eagles expect to return eight starters on each side of the ball, plus the team’s starting punter.

Padron broke his right wrist his senior year in HS in 2008 (missed the remaining 5 games of that season), he hurt his left ankle on a hit while passing versus ECU in the 2010 reg season finale, played in the C-USA title game and AF Bowl.
