SMU blows a 3 on 2 break after a steal with Clink missing the layup. We then foul and Marshall hits 2 FTs. We then miss a 3 and Marshall gets a second chance put back at the buzzer.

Make that layup and its a 1 point game. Now we are down 7 at the half.

What a crap last 90 seconds. Blow a 3v2 layup and then immediately foul the handler 70ft. away from the basket giving him shots? Yeeeeesh.

Giles and Clink had some nice scoring, but they had some eff ups too.

Giles had 2 bad TOs with careless passes and Clink missed a momentum changing layup.

Most calls seem to be going Marshall's way.

Our only hope is that Rob breaks out the A game and goes unconcious here in the second half. I would rather him shoot a contested 3 than someone drive for a basket.

I still can't go over the last three possessions. The reign of error must end. Also, when was the last basketball game where we did not have one +5 minute utter offensive drought? Nothing says SMU hoops like 6 1/2 minutes without a bucket.

That is an absolute truth. You can always count on the Ponies with a prolonged scoring draught that then puts us in catch up mode for the whold second half.

Yes, been like that for years. Never figured out how no matter who the coach is, we have such horrendous offensive droughts for multiple minutes. Weird characteristic of SMU basketball post Dave Bliss.
