As a graduate of UT (grad school), I am always worried about people in the final semester at UT. I cannot tell you how many people I know who find out shortly before the graduation ceremony that they can't graduate b/c they are:
1) one class short of some bizarre graduation requirement;
2) their academic advisor told them they needed History 304 to graduate. Unfortunately, the advisor was wrong - they needed History 305 and reliance on your advisor is at your own risk.
Every summer, there are people in Austin who need "1" course to graduate.
BTW - while at SMU, my academic advisor signed me up for the wrong English class for part of the liberal arts core b/c of a misprint in a catalog. By the time the problem was discovered, I was halfway through Women in the Age of Victoria. SMU fixed the problem with very little fuss. At UT, it is tough luck chuck.

I'm sure looking back you're thankful for the experience as women in the age of victoria comes in real handy - especially when you're closing a big deal.

Instead of English literature, the course turned out to be a Women Studies class with 20 women, 2 gay guys, and me signed up. Despite claiming my paper had "inherent anti-feminist bias," the professor gave me an A.
