Yes. Because SMU could not hire Buzz Williams, it will no longer try to improve its basketball program. Matt Doherty will be rehired in order to save time.

There is a coach I would like to see SMU send feelers out to. He's been a head coach the last 5 years{ albeit, a weaker conference}. Before that, he was an assistant to Pitino at Louisville in the Big East Conference. Last time I checked, Pitino's coaching tree has had success heading up major programs. Billy Donavan(UF) and Mick Cronin(UC) come to mind...And, those are the 2 that are off the top of my head.

Seems to be following the football hire. Paul Johnson has turned us down so now we go get Jones. I am still excited about the possibilities.
