Take the total number of players in DISD. Now narrow that pool down to the good athletes. Then further narrow it down to the good players. Then shrink that pool down to the number of players who are good athletes, good players (there's a difference) and who have the grades and test scores to get in to SMU. That pool has shrunk considerably. Finally, from that small pool, take out the studs who get plucked by UT, OU, etc., and you'll see why it's not as if our coaches can just call the coaches at area high schools and tell them where their top players should sign.
that’s complete b.s., but it is the SMU way of thinking.......and look where it has gotten us.
btw, it's funny how Baylor found 12 DISD kids that are good enough to play in the Big XII and have the grades and test scores to get in there....but SMU probably wasn't interested in them anyway, right.
